About the Role:

We are looking for an HR – Talent & Culture professional to own two equally important responsibilities for our events vertical. First, the talent side: hiring full-time team members who fit our culture and can thrive in the fast-paced world of events. Second, the culture side: building, nurturing, and protecting the energy that makes MadMaze a great place to work.

This is not a back-office HR role. You will be the heartbeat of the events team, working closely with the founding team, leading hiring conversations, planning offsites, designing onboarding experiences, and turning the small everyday moments into something memorable for the team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Talent Acquisition (Full-time hiring for Events)

    • Own the end-to-end hiring funnel for full-time roles within the events vertical — event managers, producers, operations, project coordinators, sales, client servicing, and support roles.
    • Partner with the directors and respective team leads to understand role requirements and team gaps.
    • Draft compelling job descriptions and job posts that reflect the MadMaze voice.
    • Source candidates through LinkedIn, Naukri, referrals, college outreach, and other relevant channels.
    • Screen resumes, conduct preliminary calls, and shortlist candidates for interview rounds.
    • Coordinate interview schedules across directors and panels; ensure timely candidate communication at every stage.
    • Build and maintain a hiring tracker with clear pipeline visibility for leadership.
    • Manage offer roll-outs, salary negotiations, and joining formalities.
    • Build a strong employer brand on LinkedIn, partnering with internal teams on culture-led content.

    Onboarding & Joining Experience

    • Design a warm, well-organized onboarding experience for every new joiner.
    • Coordinate documentation, workspace setup, introductions, and first-week walkthroughs.
    • Ensure every new joiner feels welcomed and oriented from day one.

    Culture & Engagement (Full Scope)

    • Plan and execute monthly team activities, birthday celebrations, festival events, and internal moments.
    • Lead the planning and on-ground execution of annual offsites and team trips.
    • Run rewards and recognition programs to celebrate consistent performers and special wins.
    • Build and maintain a culture calendar across the year.
    • Drive employee wellbeing initiatives and check-ins.
    • Capture team moments and partner with internal teams for LinkedIn and Instagram storytelling.
    • Be the trusted point of contact for any employee concern, queries, or feedback.

    HR Operations & Coordination

    • Maintain employee records, leave, and basic HR documentation.
    • Coordinate with Finance on payroll inputs (attendance, leave, joining/exit).
    • Manage exit formalities with empathy and professionalism.

    Must-Have Skills

    • 2 to 4 years of hands-on HR experience — this is a non-negotiable requirement.
    • Prior experience in an agency, events, or fast-paced creative environment is strongly preferred.
    • Strong talent acquisition track record with a clear understanding of sourcing, screening, and closing candidates.
    • Excellent communication skills in Tamil and English — you will be interacting with candidates, internal teams, directors, and external partners.
    • Comfortable on LinkedIn for both sourcing and employer brand building.
    • Energetic, outgoing, and naturally good with people.
    • Strong organizational and follow-up discipline — you will be juggling hiring pipelines, culture calendars, and offsite logistics simultaneously.
    • Working knowledge of HR tools (Zoho People, Keka, GreytHR, or similar) and MS Excel / Google Sheets.
    • A sharp eye for fit — both for the job and for our culture.

    Good to Have

    • Prior experience hiring for events, on-ground, or operations-heavy roles.
    • Exposure to planning company offsites, team events, or large internal celebrations.
    • Basic photography or content sense for capturing team moments.
